Retna Pictures is an established agency with an international reputation for high quality Music and Celebrity photography. Its archive dates back over fifty years and it has a worldwide network of over three hundred contributing photographers. Founded in 1984 by music photographer Michael Putland, the collection now contains over 1½ million digitised images. Retna’s particular strength is Music, and the collection includes unique and iconic imagery of the defining artists of the last five decades as well as current leading acts. Coverage extends beyond music to encompass the entire entertainment industry from studio celebrity shoots to red carpet, and candid photography.
