UPPA is thought to be the oldest independent picture business in the UK, dating back to the early 1900’s, and is the photography business of record for royalty, politicians and the judiciary. CTK is a public medium whose operation is financed through its own commercial activity and it is not subsidised by public funds. CTK's Multimedia Service offers 450 to 600 news items a day, approximately 300 of its own news and illustrative photos, plus photos from represented partner agencies from all over the world. There are now over one million photos in the digitised part of the CTK photo archive, and this number continues to grow.
