FORUM Polish Photography Agency was established in 1994 and currently co-operates with 950 photographers that report various cultural, social and political events that occur in Poland and throughout the world. In addition to these photographers, FORUM is partners with over 60 photography agencies all over the world. Our collection consists 20 million photographs - all available online at www.forum.com.pl FORUM Poljska Fotografska Agencija je osnovana 1994. i trenutno sarađuje s 950 fotografa koji izveštavajt s raznih kulturnih, društvenih i političkih događaja koji se održavaju u Poljskoj i u svetu. When FORUM was founded in 1994, there were no digital SLR cameras or mobile telephones available, internet speed was unbelievably slow, the standard computer had a RAM of 16MB, and the only way for photographers to submit their work was in person. We did not know then that we were only a few years from a technological evolution. In just three years we had a set up a part of our picture archives and made them available on the web. Our archives were began by the scanning of a vast number of pictures and material. During this time a myriad of photographers joined the agency and as FORUM grew more agencies sought to work with us and sentt us their photographs. The picture files became heavier and our IT department costs grew extensively. Kada je FORUM osnovan 1994. nije bilo digitalnih SLR kamera niti mobilnih telefona, a Internet veza je bila nevjerojatno spora. Standardno računalo je imalo 16MB RAM i jedini način na koji su fotografi mogli predati svoje radove je bilo osobno. Tada nismo znali da smo samo nekoliko godina od tehnološke evolucije. U samo 3 godine postavili smo dio svoje arhive i omogućili da bude dostupna na internetu. Naša arhiva je započeta skeniranjem ogromnog broja fotografija i materijala. Tokom tog vremena mnogo se fotografa pridružilo agenciji i kako je FORUM rastao sve je više agencija željelo sarađivati s nama i slati nam svoje fotografije. Datoteke su postajale sve veće i troškovi našeg IT odjela su rasli.
