UPPA is thought to be the oldest independent picture business in the UK, dating back to the early 1900’s, and is the photography business of record for royalty, politicians and the judiciary. Retna Pictures is an established agency with an international reputation for high quality Music and Celebrity photography. Its archive dates back over fifty years and it has a worldwide network of over three hundred contributing photographers.

Retna’s particular strength is Music, and the collection includes unique and iconic imagery of the defining artists of the last five decades as well as current leading acts.

CTK is a public medium whose operation is financed through its own commercial activity and it is not subsidised by public funds. CTK's Multimedia Service offers 450 to 600 news items a day, approximately 300 of its own news and illustrative photos, plus photos from represented partner agencies from all over the world. There are now over one million photos in the digitised part of the CTK photo archive, and this number continues to grow.
