CTK is a public medium whose operation is financed through its own commercial activity and it is not subsidised by public funds. CTK's Multimedia Service offers 450 to 600 news items a day, approximately 300 of its own news and illustrative photos, plus photos from represented partner agencies from all over the world. There are now over one million photos in the digitised part of the CTK photo archive, and this number continues to grow. When FORUM was founded in 1994, there were no digital SLR cameras or mobile telephones available, internet speed was unbelievably slow, the standard computer had a RAM of 16MB, and the only way for photographers to submit their work was in person. We did not know then that we were only a few years from a technological evolution. In just three years we had a set up a part of our picture archives and made them available on the web. Our archives were began by the scanning of a vast number of pictures and material. During this time a myriad of photographers joined the agency and as FORUM grew more agencies sought to work with us and sentt us their photographs. The picture files became heavier and our IT department costs grew extensively. Když byla v roce 1994 založena agentura FORUM, nebyly k dispozici digitální zrcadlovky ani mobilní telefony, rychlost internetu byla neuvěřitelně pomalá, standardní počítač měl 16 MB RAM a jediným způsobem, jak mohli fotografové posílat své práce, bylo osobní setkání. Tehdy jsme ještě netušili, že nás od technologické evoluce dělí jen několik let. Za pouhé tři roky jsme zpravćovali část našich fotografických archivů a zpřístupnili je na webu. Naše archivy vznikaly skenováním obrovského množství fotografií a materiálů. Během této doby se k agentuře připojilo nespočet fotografů a jak FORUM rostlo, stále více agentur se snažilo s námi spolupracovat a zasílat nám své fotografie. Soubory snímků byly stále větší a náklady našeho IT oddělení značně vzrostly.
In time, a History Department which develops new sources and stores old collections was formed in our agency. We co-operate with historians and collectors. We possess in our archives pictures from free lance photographers as well as museum collections. Every month, our historical collection increases by about 4000 new pictures. It contains pictures with captions of the hottest news regarding popular local and International stars. Through our portal, we guarantee our clients up to date information on interviews with celebrities, the parties they attend and the film sets they grace. Postupem času vzniklo v naší agentuře archivní oddělení, které zpracovává archivní kolekce. Spolupracujeme s historiky a sběrateli. Ve svém historickém archivu máme snímky od jednotlivých fotografů i muzejní sbírky. Každý měsíc se náš historický archiv rozroste o přibližně 4000 nových snímků. Kromě rozsáhlého historického archivu jsme vytvořili portál s fotografiemi celebrit, který je denně aktualizován, www.forumgwiazd.com.pl. Obsahuje fotografie s popisky nejžhavějších novinek týkajících se populárních lokálních i mezinárodních hvězd. Prostřednictvím našeho portálu zaručujeme našim klientům aktuální informace o rozhovorech s celebritami, večírcích, kterých se účastní, a filmových scénách v kterých hrají.
